Coming from one of Bangladesh’s most culturally and musically enriched family, Nawrin has been singing for as long as she can remember. At the age of 5, renowned TV personality Hanif Shanket discovered Nawrin on his famous TV show “KOTHAR KOTHA” singing “Nati Khati bela gelo” which catapulted her in to the limelight and became an instantaneous child artist of Bangladesh Media. After that, there was no turning back for her. She appeared on numerous TV shows and stage performances. Outside of Bangladesh, Nawrin performed in Turkey, Russia, India as a child star. She has been the recipient of many national and International awards such as UNESCO CLUB AWARD, BANGABONDHU NATIONAL AWARD, PEN PALS CLUB AWARDS, BHASHANI AWARDS, SHAHEED PRESIDENT ZIAUR RAHMAN AWARD to name a few. At a tender age, she did playback for 26 movies with honorable music directors like Late Satya Saha, Alauddin Ali, Sujay Sham, Alom Khan etc ..and co artist like Runa Laila, Sabina yasmin, Khalid Hasan Milu, Andrew Kishor. Nawrin has released 12 albums in her career, beginning at the age of 7. She has been trained by Ustaad Anil Kumar Saha in classical music until she was 15, when she moved to Florida with her family. But even after moving to the US, she continued to sing and perform with passion across United States. She has performed in many renown Bengali events sharing stage with Artist like Kumar Bishawajit, Baby Naznin, Rizia Parveen, Kaya, Suvro dev and many more . Her last album, which was produced by Fuad Al Muqtadir, Ayub Bacchu, and Shoquot ali Imon, and Prince Mahmud was released in 2005, entitled “Opaare shurjo ,Epaare ostachol” from Soundtek record label which won critical acclaim and she was featured on Ntv, Ekushey Tv , Rtv, ATN etc.
Nawrin is now busy with her studies here in America and she hasn’t been able to put full concentration on music like she did back home in Bangladesh. But, coming from a family where she has a mother like Chitra Sultana, Aunts like Abida Sultana, Rebeka Sultana, Rehana Sultana, Salma sultana and uncles like Shouquat Ali Imon, Rafiqul Alam, Nawrin believes that music runs in her blood, and wherever she goes and whatever she does, music is what she will always breath
